Aurum Mining plc (AIM: AUR) makes the following update to the market following the announcement made on 15 May 2008.

In the civil case, in which the Company's wholly owned subsidiaries Andash Mining Company and Kaldora Company Limited are named as co-defendants, an unrelated co-defendant, Bulakashu Mining LLC, has challenged the jurisdiction of the Bishkek Inter-District Court in the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. The proceedings before the Bishkek Inter-District Court have therefore been adjourned pending determination of the jurisdictional issue by a higher court. A decision on the jurisdictional issue is not expected before the end of May 2008.
